Visit the Nature Center in Cape May On the Cape May Dolphin Watch & Harbor Safari, you will travel from Manhattan to Cape May and visit the Nature Center. Together with a marine biologist, you will pull a seine net through the waters of Cape May Harbor and learn about the incredible diversity of marine life in the shallows. Experience a 3-hour cruise in search of marine mammals such as dolphins and whales. Seeing these beautiful intelligent mammals in their natural habitat is a true treat! Includes round-trip transportation from Manhattan.
Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final. Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center. Itinerary: At 7:00 am, you will be greeted by your tour guide at the convenient meeting location in Manhattan. You will sign your liability waivers prior to boarding the coach. After departure, a light breakfast will be served on board the coach. The motorcoach will take you to the most southern point of New Jersey - Cape May. There you will start your day by visiting the Nature Center of Cape May - a part of the New Jersey Audubon Society. At the Nature Center, you will pull a seine net through the waters of Cape May Harbor with the help of a marine biologist. You'll explore - hands on - the incredible diversity of marine life in the shallows, and learn about the fascinating lives of the animals that inhibit our coastal waters. In the afternoon, it's time for a 3-hour voyage aboard a 110-foot vessel in search of marine mammals such as dolphins and whales. Relax on the deck and enjoy a box lunch as we cruise the Atlantic Ocean and the Delaware Bay and learn about the exciting ocean life. The most regularly sighted species of marine mammals on this cruise are bottlenose dolphins, but you will also have a chance to see humpback whales, finback whales and sea turtles. Every tour is guided by a marine naturalist. You might already have seen dolphins in captivity, but the experience of seeing these beautiful intelligent mammals in their natural habitats is incomparable! An early evening departure means arrival back in NYC at approximately 8:00 pm. What to Bring and Wear: ID: Due to heightened national security, you will need to bring a valid government issued photo identification. CLOTHES: Please dress according to the weather. It it usually cooler and windy out on the ocean. WATER: In a plastic bottle, especially on hot days. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration. SUN SCREEN: Especially on sunny days. CAMERA: With extra film/memory highly recommended. BINOCULARS: Will help you view the wildlife CASH: Although this tour is classified as "all inclusive," it is advisable to bring some cash for souvenirs, snacks for the bus ride back, and gratuity for your guide, which is left to your discretion. What language is spoken on your tour? All tours are guided in English. Upon prior request for groups of 12 people or more, a translator can be provided. However, a translator is really not needed; the beauty of mother nature speaks for itself. Who is your tour designed for? Our tour is structured to satisfy anyone with just a little love for nature. Whether you are a stressed-out New Yorker caught in the fast pace of the city life...a tourist looking for something other than the usual tourist attractions such as the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State building...or someone who feels like doing something romantic with a significant person in your life...this tour is your answer! Do I need to be in great physical shape to join your tour? No, our tours are based on leisure adventure. Anyone in relatively good health can participate. We strongly recommend, though, that people with the following medical conditions DO NOT join our tour:

The tours are carefully structured to minimize any potential injuries and there are rules to be followed to ensure your safety. PLEASE NOTE: Joining this tour is at your own risk. What is the lunch like? We do the best to ensure that your lunch will always be a quality experience. We have chosen great partners and all menus have been taste-tested. Lunch will either be at a diner/restaurant or box/picnic lunch outdoors in nature. Non-alcoholic beverages will be served during lunch. Vegetarian options will always be provided.
